IV line and trying to do stuff for myself
So as I posted before, I got a UTI that is resistant to oral antibiotics so the doctor has me on IV medications. Luckily he was able to arrange a nurse to come to my house every afternoon to give me the meds.
First of, now I feel sicker than before I went to the doctor so now the guilt of taking time off from work feels more merited. I feel drowsy and over all blah and last night I started getting some nausea. I told the nurse all about it when she was here and she didn't seem too concerned, but wrote it all down to tell the doctor. However she said the medication I am on is one of the strongest and the dosage is quite high too so these side effects are expected.
My only worry now is that I hate needles. I'll take them because I have to, but they are my mortal enemy. Of course they have left the IV line in my arm so I am doing my day to day stuff (well what I can) and trying to be very careful but last night and again this morning it has been hurting quite a bit. I'm supposed to do a blood test this afternoon, but now I am scared that when I tell her the IV line is hurting, she will tell me she has to move it. To make matters worse I have horrible veins so I have no idea where else she will be able to put that new line 😭😫
