Healing belly button?

3 weeks old, cord fell off early. Dr said everything looked ok. Since then it’s been red and often has crusty stuff on it :( worried it’s not healing right but am also paranoid about everything :(
Any advice

Just wash with soap and water to remove the blood. My babies looks like that. It will heal. As long as it isn’t dripping blood or oozing pus it’s probably fine. Call your pediatrician if you get too concerned

Our LO cord fell off today at 3 weeks and it was bleeding a little and wet (all that stopped and crusted over) and we called the pediatrician and told us to just watch it and make sure it doesn’t ooze more but point I’m getting to is that they told us to not use alcohol bc it would just irritate it... so they told us to just leave it alone.

We had to get my son's cauterized a bit after it fell off because it was bleeding a bit. Since then it healed perfectly!

Looks like it’s just a deep belly button. My LO’s cord fell off early and was kind of deep so it crusted and a little piece fell off again. My pediatrician suggested dabbing alcohol on the belly button.
