When did you guys start buying for the baby?.

im 25 weeks and my so is saying theres loads of time to get stuff. I'm obviously excited being a ftm but struggling with not being sorted. we have nothing yet.

my husband would say that too, but he'd still be okay with me getting stuff. I got the crib and car seat when we learned the gender, as well as a crib skirt, a couple sheets, and a few outfits. I told him I'll hold off until after the baby shower for the rest haha

21 weeks with #4, and right now I'm collecting and sorting. I'm getting freebie boxes, digging through totes of what I saved from the other kids, washing and sorting by size. I have a crib, high chair, jumpy toy thingy... totes of cloth diapers and clothes, free samples out the wha zoo... lol... and I am planning to have a baby shower, so when I have the urge to buy stuff I just sign up for free things online. I really do have nearly everything i will need for several months, so I'm just waiting to see what else pans out before I buy things.

We got the big stuff already because we have serious doubts about things on our registry being bought for us lol. So we made sure to cover the bassinet, crib, dresser, carseat and stoller/infant car seat. Our parents bought us those items and now we will see what we get for our shower and go from there. I'm 24 weeks btw.

I just bought a few things from a friend who just had her last baby and a crib and glider.... and a couple outfits. BUT other than that I’m waiting until after the shower!

I don't buy anything until after the baby shower
If I didn't have a baby shower I'd probably slowly buy things, like big stuff (crib, high chair, carseat) first then clothes and stuff

I specifically wanted to wait till 25 weeks. currently 22 . so I'll start next month.

We got some things to get the nursery started (my husband leaves for months at a time for work and wanted to help with assembly/decorating), but will get more stuff after my shower depending on what is left on the registry.
