The lower part of th box says “Warning: This product contains a chemical known to the state of California to cause cancer.

I wouldn’t be worried like Heather said in CA if there is even the smallest amount of some chemical or product that has the smallest chance of maybe causing cancer then the state makes them print that warning. It’s on so many product it is redundant, they should just make a blanket statement saying we don’t know what causes cancer so just assume everything may cause it!

Everything causes cancer in California lol. I went to a hotel there and they have signs around the pool saying the chemicals they use to keep the pool clean cause cancer. 
Also handbags and chocolate as well.

Disneyland even has these warnings while you wait in line for rides. It’s just a blanket statement to avoid being sued in the future. Everything causes cancer here 🤷🏼‍♀️.

California native here: California is a notoriously sue-happy state so, we get warnings on EVERYTHING not for our health, but moreso to legally cover companies behinds against lawsuits.

if you look at the nutrition facts at McDonald's in California they have the same warning. apparently a chemical that California says causes cancer is produced when you cook potatoes.
