Ladies. I just got the doc’s ok for sex, but I’m SO scared. I had a really rough delivery and things just don’t feel the same down there. He did say that I healed beautifully, but I swear I feel like it’s still a hot mess! How long did y’all wait? Did it hurt? What if you had severe tears? Halp!!

This was SO me. We finally DTD after 7 weeks. I wanted to wait longer but I felt bad making him wait even longer. We hadn’t DTD in 6 months because i was high risk due to low placenta. I only had a 1st degree tear but I can still feel the stitches pull occasionally. I was terrified of having sex again but it wasn’t that bad. It didn’t exactly feel great but it will get better with time.....and more lube haha. Honestly, what hurt the most was getting my boobs smooshed. I’m normally an A cup but these breastfeeding C cups are hard to get used to 😂

We did about 2 weeks after. I didn’t tear or snything though. And honestly it didn’t hurt. It just felt super weird and uncomfortable like it was my first time lol. It just felt weird. I’m now 7 weeks pp and it feels great again lol

It was moooonths with my first (had a second degree tear with episiotomy) and it still hurt. It honestly took a year to really feel good for me. I’m only 5 weeks pp now but plan to wait a long time again because I had a pretty significant 2nd degree tear again and even after an active day chasing a toddler my vag feels super sore when I go to bed. I’m wondering if the my muscles down there will ever be the same.
