My husband and I are both very "Southern" raised. He calls the drive thru people (female) darling. I get that's just how he is, but it makes me wanna strangle him. He pretty well quit doing it once I made it clear it made me uncomfortable though.

my fiance went through a phase where everybody was "sunshine" but that was prior to us starting to date and he never meant it in a flirty way. now? id be like hm okay and probably brush it off. (unless it was through like text then id be like okay something is up) i feel like its a "you have to know us to understand" type of thing. darling would most likely NOT be his new choice of word to call everybody though bc i am his darling, but i can see "sunshine" making a come back 😂😂

My fiancé doesn’t call me darling all the time, but if he started calling another female babe, princess, my love, or anything else that he should only call ME then it would be time to break out some boxing gloves. Im the only woman he should ever call those things. No other woman. Only exception to some names is if we have a daughter.
