Hard to determine when to make the first move...

Context: I’m in college and in a touch rugby physical activity class, just rugby with no tackle or positions. I like this guy in this class, and I think he likes me too 🤔 we always talk before and after class and like to be on the same team. We both play on the schools actual teams, and sometimes see each other at parties. I want to ask for his number and talk to him more, I know some guys can be shy and apprehensive unless they know a girl really likes them. He’s that type, not a player at all.

I know I always say “just go for it!” But I get so embarrassed I’ll look like a total dork 😅Like id hate for him to turn me down and make it awkward during class.

I don’t know if I should message him on Facebook or ask on Thursday during class? I could use the excuse that since both ours teams are going to this big rugby event in May that we could collaborate on it. Any thoughts or opinions y’all might have? I like to hear what others think. Thanks!
