AF after natural MC

I miscarried on March 25, I was 5 weeks. I bled for 5 days and spotted for about 3 days after that. Due to the traumatic experience I didn’t track my ovulation after that as I was heartbroken and couldn’t even think about anything related to TTC. However it’s now been just over 4 weeks since my MC and AF has yet to return. My doctor said it could take up to 6 weeks for AF to return but unlikely since I was so regular before (every 27/28 days) and because I miscarried very early on, I should get it on time. So now I’m technically 3 days late which hasn’t happen in years, besides last month when I got pregnant. So I’m just wondering, what was your experience with AF after a MC and how long did it take for the first one to return?
