formula at night?

my babe is 2 months old. ive heard formula fed babies sleep longer... what are your thoughts on giving baby formula before bed to make them sleep longer? my breastfed babe is still waking up every 2-3.5 hours and im going crazy with lack of sleep.

That is very normal for a 2 month old and formula won’t necessarily help get longer stretches. If breastfeeding is going well for you - try not to stop just because baby is still waking often at night!

No difference. I gave my baby breastmilk during the day and formula at night. Didn’t change. She didn’t start sleep longer until 5.5 months.

Normal like everyone says and I don’t believe that about formula. All babies are different. Before I started a sleep program with my second, she started sleeping nine hours on her own at 8 weeks old. She’s exclusively breastfed. I wouldn’t count on that and buy into that. Keep doing what you’re doing.

Mine is formula fed. Last he slept from 10 to 5 in the morning but he has never done that before so he must have been super tired. But every other day he is up every 2 1/2 to 3 hours. He’s a little bit of a chunk he doesn’t like to miss feedings

My first was formula fed my second is 5 days old and breastfeeding. She’s already sleeping 5-6 hrs at night. . My first did the same.

That’s normal. Formula isn’t going to make a difference. Try to nap when baby naps during the day to catch back up on sleep.
