When to tell new job I’m 28 weeks pregnant?

I was laid off back in March at 20 weeks pregnant and managed to get in contact and interview at a company I worked at years ago a couple weeks after. In order to not face discrimination again (I believe my layoff was due to my pregnancy) I hid my belly during the interview. I have since been offered and accepted the job and start next week, but I don’t know how to tell them I’m due so soon. Any help is appreciated!

I had an interview and mentioned i was pregnant at the end even though tje interview went great i didnt get the job and o thonk it was because i was pregnant. i got a job soon after and said something after i got highered. worked out great and was out 3 months later.

I had to leave my previous job bc they were working my like a dog and getting me to do stuff knowing good and well I couldn’t and wasn’t supposed to do it. I was in ALOT of pain! I left at 20 weeks I’m now 25 weeks my interview for the new job was right at 20 weeks and I decided to tell them during my interview that I would have to leave in August due to maternity leave and they were great with it! Of course I work at a place that is mostly women and everyone has had at least one baby before!

Tell them when you start, if you tell them before, they could recind your offer (even though it’s illegal, they could find another reason) . They can’t discriminate against pregnancy (even though companies do).  If they try to fire you, they need a reason- ie, performance issues, etc.  They have to treat it like any other short term disability.

I just started a new job at 19 weeks pregnant and told them two weeks in that I was pregnant and due in Sept. They seemed a little surprised but as long as you stay professional about it and ensure that it won’t affect your job now they have nothing to worry about! I was nervous but it happens all the time!
