No heartbeat yet?

Hi Ladies,
Just went for my first Ultrasound. Glow says I’m 6w5d. Scan suggested 5w4d.
Ultrasound tech saw a gestational sac, the yoke and fetal pole but no heartbeat yet. I’m a bit bummed! I’m hoping it’s common to not see a heartbeat just yet. Xx

I don't think the heart starts to beat till 6 weeks!

My first ultrasound dated me 5days earlier than my LMP (at 6w 2days) and the heartbeat was 102, which the tech said was healthy and normal because it had just started within the last 48 hours (so it started at 6 weeks!) so hard not to worry.. but I think you are right on track and shouldn’t stress! It’s great they saw a fetal pole- congrats!!

some babies grow faster than others. they found a heartbeat with my son at 5w 5d. some people get theirs later.

with my most recent pregnancy they couldn't find a heartbeat till 7w5d and I thought I was a week further along. all went well and I delivered my little on 4/10
