How much formula3 breast milk?

Elora is almost 5 months old... how much formula/ breast milk is your little one eating and how often?! She’s eating 4oz every 3 hours... just wondering if and when I need to increase and how much:how often?!

I think formula works different than breastmilk, where you up the amount as they get older. I don’t believe you have to do that with breastmilk. When my 4 month old baby isn’t nursing, she takes 4oz of breastmilk every 2-4 hours.

My 4 mo drinks 6oz each feeding/6 x per day. Sometimes she doesn’t drink the entire bottle but usually drinks a total of 32-36oz over the day

Formula is completely different than breastmilk. Babies who drink breastmilk typically never drink more than 4oz because the milk is caloric specific.

My guy turned 4 months on Thursday. We usually do about 6 oz of formula mixed with 2-3oz of breastmilk every 3 hours. Nighttime, just 8oz of breastmilk. He’s a very big boy though. 
Listen and watch for cues! My baby would be either cry immediately after it was gone or root around over my shoulder looking for more food. Now he is at the point where he grabs the empty bottle and sucks on it looking for more. My pediatrician told me that as long as he’s not  spitting up large amounts and as long as he is healthy and following his growth curve, then feed him as much as he wants. 
That being said, all pediatricians are different, and all babies are different. Find what is right for you and your baby! :)

My son can only take 3oz of formula at a sitting without spitting up a lot. So he takes 3 every 3-4 hours and when he’s home has the boob every 2.5 hours
