How bad is the iud insertion?

Hey guys I’m getting my paragard iud insertion in 2 weeks and I wanna know how bad the pain is? I’m usually real good with my pain tolerance but I hear people saying it really hurts? I gave birth to my baby girl in December so after having a baby is the iud pain easy to handle?

Never had children and when I got put mine in it felt like they left a knife up there, over the week I took 6-8 paracetamol/ibuprofen a day I'd recommended making sure you have a way to get home as I physically couldn't walk and slept in my hallway until my boyfriend was able to help me get to bed. Over all so worth I though to not have to worry about contraception.

For me it was a little painful it feels like a pinch in your insides... but I did feel light headed... I also felt a bit sad honestly I’m not sure why and I used the non hormonal ParaGard ... but yeah you definitely will need a ride .. I felt a bit down and like tired .. I got home and took a nap .. I woke up like a brand new person☺️

It’s easier because you already have a child so your cervical canal is kind of open, so it doesn’t hurt as much as when you don’t have any children and they have to dilate your cervix. 
They can also sedate you in some places, and it doesn’t hurt at all. Afterwards you can take Ibuprofen and the pain is minimal, only lasted that first day.

I took 800mg of ibuprofen an hour before and i didn’t really feel anything but slight cramping. Th minimal cramping lasted for two days and it went away.

I just got mine in December, the first 3 days are very painful so do minimal things. I decided to work the day after and I work at a clothing store, wasn’t a good day

I’ve had two. The first hurt but not horribly, the second I didn’t even feel them put it in.
