Is it stupid to get my nails done? ⬇️⬇️

Is it stupid to get my nails done now? (Acrylics) I'm due in 2 weeks. I like my nails really short so it's not like they'd be super long or get in the way of doing every day things. A few people have told me they think it's a bad idea because I'll be changing diapers and what not and I'll just get them dirty. This isn't my first baby so I'm aware of how messy 💩 things can get. Should I get gel instead? Or just not at all? Help. 🚼

I don’t really understand the allure of acrylics.  I’d go with a gel or even a low-everything type of nail-polish— one that you would feel comfortable with the baby sucking on your finger.  The idea of that with acrylics is a little icky.

I got them done and literally just snapped 3 of them off yesterday by accident while I was washing my babies clothes. Decided to take them all off because it looked weird missing a few haha. My due date is in 4 days. Third time mom... if you get them short it shouldn’t be an issue and you won’t be hurting your baby.

I don't see any issue if they're short. I get gels every 2 weeks and did so before my last baby and will for this one too.

I get mine done every three to four weeks all the time 👌🏼 it’s all good, get them done girl

You could even just do and acrylic overlay, that’s what I do! And if you have baby you can’t always just pop them off with those flosses instead of going back in.

Personally I'd just get a shellac polish on your natural nails. Short or not acrylics could scratch your baby

I had them with my last baby and had no issues. I get them done regularly now but because we are moving in a weekish when I’m 34 weeks and I don’t wanna take the time to fine another nail tech I’m getting them removed and just doing gel until baby gets a little older.
