Cervical shortening

How many of you have or had had cervical shortening during your pregnancy?

My doctor called and set up an appointment for me next Wednesday to get measured and possibly get a cerclage. This is my 4th pregnancy and I’ve never had this before... I’m so nervous and stressed out to be honest. My doctor didn’t tell me if I should limit my activities or anything or tell me anything about a cervical shortening, I had to look it up and read about it. Have any of your doctors thought you had it and you went in and got measured and turned out you didn’t have it?
