Name frustrations

So, we picked a name months ago and I told my parents. They live in town and I talk to my mom frequently. My husband’s parents live long distance and he doesn’t talk to them as frequently but he does talk to them.

First, my mom tried to bogart the whole name thing, thinking she got input. I dealt with that and put my foot down. So, I assumed my husband would update his parents. I am almost positive he did tell them but my memory isn’t great right now.

My MIL just received the baby shower announcement and is mad bc we didn’t update her on the name. She directed it at DH but I can’t help but feel this was really directed towards me. I just don’t have the energy to update my mother and his mother over every little thing. Especially since we told her a few times so far when the shower will be and she hadn’t yet told us if she will come or how soon after baby they are coming. They don’t communicate to us and get mad when w don’t update them.
