Mothers Day while pregnant?

I think you’re still a mom! That’s why things like still birth and miscarriage are looked at as not serious to some people! Because of how people talk about pregnancy! When you’re pregnant, that is your baby! No matter how far along, no matter how big or small, if you’re calling yourself “not a mom yet” with a whole baby in your womb, that’s messed up in my opinion. They just have yet to come out, the only thing blocking them is a belly. You’re a mom when you become pregnant.

In 2012 I had a still birth at 26 weeks.. I was still a mom. He was still my son. I was still his mom. Just because he died before we could meet face to face, doesn’t mean he never existed.
People never acknowledge me on Mother’s Day, and that hurt a lot.. more than they probably could have fathomed. 
I knew my husband was the one for me when he bought me a Mother’s Day card while we were dating, and I wasn’t even pregnant.. my son wasn’t even his.. but he still acknowledged my lost child. 
I don’t care if you had a miscarriage at 4 weeks- you’re a mom. If no one else wants to treat you on that day, treat yourself.. because you deserve it.

I always say happy Mother’s Day to my pregnant friends. I think it’s nice to celebrate a woman who is pregnant, same to expecting fathers.

I’ve been wondering the same thing. I’ll be 8+2 on Mother’s Day and announcing to my family then. Do I get to celebrate along with my mom? My husband and I thought about calling it our practice Mother’s/Father’s Day lol.

Had this conversation with my boyfriend tonight because I was curious as to what he thought.
He said that since she’s not here yet, I don’t get to celebrate until next year. 😩
But I agree with his logic on this one (for once lol).

Yes cause you never know... I was due 6/5/16 and he had to come out 11 days AFTER mother's day!

My husband doesn’t celebrate me for Mother’s Day because he thinks it’s for celebrating his own mother. I guess I will start getting gifts when my little man is old enough to get them for me!
