I asked someone to read her pill pamphlet, and someone in the comment thought I was being offensive to her?!

First of all, do not interpret what I read into the way you read it in your mind.

Sometimes it might look offensive, but no.

And bringing how my parents should teach me manners and such, is a rude thing to do, so you have no rights to say so :))

To start, I think lots of girls panic and forget how useful their pamphlet is, so it doesn't hurt to remind them.

Every pill is different. We can give generic advice but we cannot give advice specific to your type of pill, that is where the pamphlet comes in.

So we say this because the pamphlet absolutely must be the first place to look for information.

To use your example, some pills allow for missed pills, so the diarrhea/vomiting rule doesn't necessarily apply.

So what if that rule doesn't apply to you, but you give your advice to someone who cannot miss a pill?

Telling people to read their pamphlet is so they are not given the wrong information, imagine if we gave someone the wrong info and they got pregnant? It's just not worth the risk.

So when someone says read your pamphlet, I think people need to realize it is not meant in a mean way, it's meant as a reminder as the pamphlet should always be your first point of call for your own safety and most of the time it isn't.
