Earring questions

I got my helix done for the second time now and it actually healed properly. So I’m trying to find different earrings for it.

Right now I have a 16g sterling silver in and I want a full hoop but the only sizes I can find are 22,20 and 18. Would it be a big deal to put an 18 in? I’m not sure haha.. also my piercer told me not to use the hoops with the “click hinge” only to use the one I have (2 balls) or the one with the one ball on it. What do you guys think?

Also, with the hinge click hoops does it matter if it’s 7mm, 8mm, 9mm or 10mm?
