Anyone Else Feel Annoyed that Dr. Offices Don’t Follow Up About Your Test Results if They’re Normal?

I’m not sure how I’m supposed to even know when they’ve received the results unless they call to let me know, so for days after my lab work, I’m anxious about the results... I’d rather know my test results either way! I’m a FTM and a major worry wart, so I really crave that confirmation that everything’s okay! Anyone else annoyed by this common doctors office policy?

I just assume no news is good news. Does your doctor’s office offer anything like a digital chart? Mine has something called MyChart where you can look at your results online.

I’m waiting on my 3 hr glucose test results. I check my health portal like 50 times a day! My dr office prob already know but they only call if you fail. I want to know either way!!!

I go to sutter and have My Health Online so I get all my test results on the app and in an email, I can also check it online, and I usually get them the same day. If I have any questions I message my doctor right away. I usually get a response by the next work day.

I had my bloods done over a month and half now and they said the will get my bloods the week after and ring to tell me my results good or bad then a month and half when by I was ringing up and they said they were looking at them and get back to me they never did they I got a letter through the door saying the are really alarmed that I have no vitamin d and low calcium levels and I have to start the two medications they have now put me on straight away 🙄

the hospital i go to has an app that updates me as soon as lab results come in and then I just Google what's normal for the lab to see if it's normal or not if it doesn't already tell me in the results. which I'm grateful for because I get so anxious.
