How should I time my insemination? (Read description)

Hi all,

I could use some help with timing my insemination this month. Been TTC #2 for awhile and trying a few different things this month.

So I am using a new brand of opk tests, and I have not gotten a positive yet but I am (as of this morning) starting to feel cramps that I usually get around ovulation. I took an opk when I first woke up this morning, and I’m thinking it will be positive by this afternoon/evening.

Assuming I get a positive opk this afternoon, how should I time my insemination?

I have to travel for insemination so I can only stick around for a day once I go. My options are:

1. Go tonight and inseminate a few hours after getting a positive opk and then again tomorrow a little less than 24 hours after getting a positive

2. Go tomorrow and inseminate a little less than 24 hours after getting a positive opk and then again Tuesday morning (approximate 36 hours after the positive opk).

3. Some other option I’m not thinking of.
