Mine is tomorrow at 5pm... what should I expect? I am so anxious!

had mine on Friday. they'll do a transvaginal ultrasound to check dates and heartbeat, will do a pap if you haven't had one in the last 3 years, and they will also do required STD screening. they'll send you for blood work (5 vials, in my case!), and schedule you for the next round of genetic screening (if you're doing that).

Just got home. They did urine test, pelvic exam (size uterus and swab for infections), only took one tube of blood for progesterone and something else I forget, and gave referral for ultrasound. I’m sizing at 7 weeks (app says the same) he told me to make the ultrasound for next week. I did it for Sunday so my husband can go with no problem. A little disappointed because I have to go back in two weeks for more blood work... didn’t want to take a million days off work right in the beginning 🤷🏼‍♀️

Typically just pee in a cup, blood work, free prenatal samples, and follow up with an ultrasound within 2 weeks. Unless you have a super cool OBGYN that’ll do it in the same day.

our first one is always boring and just asking and answering questions. the second one is a physical and they do pap smears etc but I refuse them while pregnant.
