Ask parents for birth control?

Hi, I’m a senior in high school and have asked my mom to be put on the pill, but she doesn’t want me to because she thinks I shouldn’t be sexually active.. My boyfriend and I use condoms, pull out, and Plan B though, but I’d have more peace of mind with something more effective. Did any of you have similar experiences or advice in how to approach this?

Of you’re 18 go to planned Parenthood. Also I really hope you aren’t taking plan b every time you have sex because that’s absolutely terrible for your body. But planned Parenthood is great. I don’t pay anything for my birth control they have a lot of options. I had he iud but it messed up so now she put me on Nuvaring. Like I said mines free because of my income.

You could always go to a clinic where they give them for free. Also don't use pull out it's not a method at all and precum can still get you pregnant. And as for plan b it's supposed to be used for emergencies and should not be taken more than 2-3 times a year taken far apart just to let you know in case you use it on a regular. I would stick to condoms until you can get on a real birth control.

If you ask your doctor for them they can’t tell your parents and you don’t need your parents permission to get them. Plus they are free! At least mine were from my doctors.
