When to BD after LH Surge?

Question

I read different articles all over and have been Ttc 8 months.. once you get that surge, it’s an indicator of impending ovulation, right? So, typically, 24 to 36 hrs after your surge is ovulation which is th prime time to BD.. is that right? I read a lot of posts in here of ladies concerned they missed the window of we didn’t BD the exact time of surge.. but that’s ok! Am I on the right track or totally mislead by google!? Thanks!!

You are correct: once you get the surge it means you will “most likely*” ovulate. Anywhere from 6 to 36 hours after. 
So the best time is the day you have your surge and the day after and the day after that ( in case you will ovulate later ) 
That’s it! 
I had sex once 12 hours after my surge and I got pregnant like that. TWICE! 
*most likely because an LH surge doesn’t mean for sure that you will ovulate. 
Anovulatory cycles ( when you don’t ovulate / the follicle doesn’t release the egg ) still will give you the LH surge that you can pick it up on an opk but you don’t actually ovulate. 
I know, very frustrating 😩

I would BD before your surge, during and after. Just incase. It's a very small window.
