Choosing an OB/GYN

So I got established with a new doctor like a month before I got pregnant, when I called to schedule my first appointment after I conceived they informed me I have to do three separate appointments, the first is because they want to talk about the anxiety meds I had been on as needed. Then I have to wait two weeks and meet with a nurse, and then wait another week to meet with one of the doctors and have an ultrasound. Not to mention They need me to go to two separate offices for the appointments. Has anyone else ever encountered this? I’m tempted to switch to a different practice.
