Worrying too much

Ok so I’m 6 weeks tomorrow. I have been having period like cramps since the week before my period. Sometimes they get pretty intense but if I pass gas they seem to go away. I’m so so so worried about it possibly being an eptopic pregnancy. I don’t have any sharp pains or bleeding just the period like cramps. Any idea if this is normal or could be a sign of eptopic pregnancy or do you think it could be from gas. My dr is going to get an early scan just to make sure but I need some reassurance here.
