So I’m due in September and I want everyone to be vaccinated before hand, my partners sister is 9 and I was just wondering can she have the flu shot and whooping cough one?

She probably already had the whooping cough one as part of her normal vaccines. The flu shot you’ll need to wait until they start giving them again around September or October.

You can have the flu shot at any age. (Over 6 months). The whooping cough vaccine is slightly different for kids and adults and there are different ages they are supposed to get it but if she is due for it or overdue she can get. They will have to check with her doctor but the point is she either already is protected from her last vaccine (if she had it) or she can get one.

Are her parents even okay with taking her to get those shots? My 1 year old got the flu shot, pretty sure anyone can. I’m not sure the age range for pertussis but that’s a question for her doctor.
