Yes! I did egg donation myself. It’s all very private if you choose to be. I met with the parents, but we used completely fake names. The center you go through will have profiles you can scan through with the donors education (most require at least bachelor level education), test scores like SAT/ACT, genetic profile, height/weight/hair color etc, and family history. The couple that chose me were both engineers with PhDs so they chose based off my education, test scores, and because I looked like the mother (both Czech descent). You will have to inject yourself with hormones before they put the fertilized egg into your uterus so it will (hopefully) stick. It’s IVF so it is pricey. I made $10,000 for one egg harvest (they got 6 eggs) so I can only imagine the total cost. Once the donor has the eggs harvested they will hear nothing more, like if it was successful or how many children resulted from their eggs. Science is amazing!
