How painful is it to get checked those last 4 weeks?

FTM and have been told it's terrible when they have to check your cervix? Like terrible as in you are going to cry or what? Really nervous as my appt is in one week....

For me it is horribly painful. I feel like they're stabbing my cervix and I always end up crying, cramping, and it hurts to walk for the day. I will be sore at least 2 days after. I opt out of them now. i haven't had them unless in labor since my 2nd and I'm on my 5th.

Just feels like pressure, like a pelvic exam.. I've never had pain with either of my kids getting checked

Not painful just uncomfortable. It’s a lot of pressure.

don't remember any of them being more than a bit uncomfortable. even getting the membrane scraped, which did nothing to start labor btw, just a bit of pressure.

Depends on who does it. Sometimes its just a little uncomfortable... but I have had one that made me cry.

I never had any pain until today. I am 40 weeks and swollen as hell. I about came off the table when she checked to see if anything was going on today!  And sadly I am not even starting to dilate. 😕

I think it depends on the person. I found it incredibly painful, but other people I know said it was no big deal.

I had a cervix check in L&D; and it was extremely uncomfortable. Apparently my short little body has a very high cervix because I felt like her whole hand was up in there. I don’t think my midwife will be checking frequently as there’s really no need. I have my GBS test next week so she’ll already be down there, but after that I don’t think she’s going to check.

It truly depends. My OB its just uncomfortable (and I’m usually high). However I got checked by a nurse in L&D; last pregnancy who I swear to God had a hand transplant from an ACTUAL bear 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️
