Bladder Control?

Question

After nursing my baby I stood up and basically peed myself. I couldn't stop the flow or anything. I've noticed I haven't had much control but this was more than I expected. 
Any clue on how long till I get almost normal bladder control back? Or if there anything I can do to help. I'm 4 days since labor & delivery.

This is something time won’t heal, but exercise will. You have to retrain your pelvic floor muscles.

It took a while for me to have control over my bladder again (mostly because they used a catheter to empty my bladder in the hospital) every time I had to pee I couldn’t hold it or stop it & wet my pad completely! Maybe 2 weeks pp it was easier for me to know when to run to the bathroom.

Even if you don’t do kegels, you can get back to semi normal. I peed myself if I even breathed too deeply with my last, and I can never remember to do kegels now. I’m exhausted and tired all the time but I don’t pee myself anymore. I’m 6 weeks pp

Agreed! 4 days pp and I’m glad I purchased poise pads for the bleeding. They’re overkill for what I bought them for but they’ve saved my butt multiple times when I couldn’t control my bladder in front of visitors 😳😬🤣

I did the same thing a few days back (I’m 6 days PP now) trying to make it to the potty & didn’t realize what I was doing till I was trying to sit😂 I’m still a little too sore for kegels, but I’m slowly working them in day by day!
