Pap smear

Ladies I'm 19 and have been ttc for almost 2 years coming up in August. I called fertility clinics but she said I'll have to get a referral from a gyno. She then told me get a pap smear and go from there. But when I went when I was 18 the lady said we don't do pap smears till you're 21. So I'm not sure if I should find another gyno office that will check for any thing happening down there. Has anyone got a pap smear under 21 on here for ttc purposes?
