Boyfriend advice

So, I’ve been dating my boyfriend for 6 months now but we’ve been talking for almost a year on and off.

He was living with his brother who up and left him so he had no where to go so he came and stayed with me. When his brother left it was supposed to be for a week for a vacation with his girlfriend, Delano ( my bf) then found out he wasn’t coming back!

He had a job that was at 6:00 in the morning and was making me wake up to take him as he doesn’t have a car and I didn’t have to be up until 7:15 and to my job at 8:45.. I am the furthest away from a morning person with out any notice as he would just wake me up and say I need a ride to work, he ended up being late a few times because it took me a long time to get out of bed, he ended up quitting after he didn’t go in one day! ( a day I was prepared to wake up early)

Anyways back to my point it’s been a month now that’s he’s been living in my apartment and I’m super traditional and don’t want to live with someone I’m dating until I’m married and we talked about that he was okay with it and said he would work on finding a job and a place, it’s now may and he still hasn’t found either.

My mom who normally stays out of hers kids business until something bothers her brought up that she doesn’t like that he’s living with me and doesn’t help pay for anything while I’m working two jobs and he’s just sits here all day. I brought it up last night and he got offended that I talk to my mom about what’s been going on.. am I wrong for being open with her about me and him? Should I have kept it quite?
