Breastfeeding or formula?

Iv had 2 other children, my first wouldn’t breast feed at all so we had to bottle feed, my second I tried but I set up mastitis and my nipples where also bleeding, and I was so sleep deprived my body wouldn’t heal. Now with all that being said I dontknow if I want to even try again! Is there an easier way? Does anyone find breastfeeding simple and maybe I just need more help or something??? Please I need advice

Did you talk to a lactation consultant? I had mastitis twice with my daughter but got it treated right away. And I applied Lanolin to my nips after almost every feed and they never cracked. They were raw and hurt like hell the first few weeks but after they toughened up it didn’t hurt at all. It didn’t really feel like anything (which was a relief). Once you get past that initial month it should be smoother sailing and it’s such a peaceful bonding time where you can sit and relax with baby and nobody messes with ya because you’re feeding the kid! I also loved it because whenever we were visiting family I never got to hold her because they all wanted time with her. Which is understandable but I always got her back if she fussed or seemed hungry because I was her food source 😂👍🏼. I plan to breastfeed my second baby too as long as I can. Nothing wrong with formula feeding either though!! 💞 Just have to find what works best for you and baby.

And if breastfeeding is too painful, you can pump and bottle feed with Avent Natural bottles. Their nipples are really close to a breast so it wouldn’t confuse the baby.

Do whatever you feel best. I struggled with breastfeeding with my first and felt like a failure. He wasn't getting enough. I cried a lot. Tried to pump. It was a bad month. My second doctor asked me while I was pregnant with my second, if I struggled, and was able to tell me why. I have breast hypoplasia. So, I knew when I had her to not even try and it was so much better for me. Neither of my children have suffered from not being breast fed and both are insanely healthy. If you feel breast feeding is too hard just because its too hard, thats ok.

My son is about to turn 1 and has always been exclusively breastfed. The first month was miserable, it hurt, my body was always producing too much or not enough, I dealt with many complications. Eventually my supply sorted its self out, both my son and I got  he hang of it and it has been I would say 90% problem free ever since. 
I stuck with it because I wanted him to get breastmilk but also because I think it’s way more work to be always cleaning bottles and warming bottles when baby is hungry right now. I dunno, whatever works for you.

If you want to try again you can ask the specialist they’ll have at the hospital to talk to. If your back and forth, you could always try again and still talk to the specialist about options that may work for you. I breastfed my second for three months and it hurt me so bad. It was not a pleasant experience. I decided with my third one I don’t want to try again because I don’t want to be a miserable mother with three kids because it’s not enjoyable for me.
