Egg retrieval recovery?

Hi all! I'm on my 6th day of stims and started cetrotide yesterday, have 11 follicles growing well at this point and ER probably this weekend. Looking for feedback on recovery - how long does it take to feel normal/alert after the anesthesia? Fingers crossed all those follicles keep growing these next few days!!

Thanks for all the feedback! I did trigger shot last night so ER is tomorrow morning! I'm a little sore from the shot but otherwise have felt totally fine. Fingers crossed for lots of mature eggs tomorrow!!

I woke up and felt normal from the drugs in about 10 minutes. I had tons of pain, but took Vicodin immediately. I left 15 minutes later. Slept the rest of the day because Dr has everyone take Xanax. Pain pretty bad for 3 days. I had 20 eggs retrieved though.

I was very groggy after anesthesia and needed a lot of assistance walking and then sitting. I was anxious to get home and to bed though (2 hour drive). I slept the whole car ride home and then slowly started moving.
I did get severe OHSS though with 26 mature eggs, so my same day recovery might be a bit more intense than normal.

I woke up after a few minutes. It took me a few minutes to feel fully awake but then I felt fine. I walked out of there, we went out to lunch and then home. I just took regular Tylenol for the cramps. I was uncomfortable and crampy the day of and then the next day and then I was fine. The first time I did it I was very constipated from the meds they gave me to put me under. So this last time I was prepared. I drank apple juice and took a laxative. That helped a lot.

I think I feel normal after I finished my second period. It’s about a month after. Before that I was always bloated, foggy and out of breath. 
First week was super gassy and uncomfortable. Make sure you avoid Mexican food that week lol my retrieval was Monday I ate Mexican food for dinner Tuesday and Wednesday all day I was miserable from the smell!

I had 11 mature retrieved this time and I felt great afterwards, but did sleep most of the day. Remember to stay hydrated even though you’ll be sleepy!

I woke up a little drowsy not that I wasn’t aware what was going on but a bit tired. The next day it was very uncomfortable like to find a good position to seat or lay down but no bleeding or pain just pure discomfort. Oh and I had 9 eggs retrieved 🤗

I think I sat in the recovery room for about 2 hours for the drugs to wear off enough (it went by fast!) and I felt a little off the rest of the day but it wasn’t too bad. The next morning all effects of drugs were gone.  Had a little pain then and it got better each day.  I think I only took pain meds one time. It’s not too bad. It was the part I was most scared of and it was the most uncomfortable but totally manageable.
