So I just moved to this new apartment about a month ago. Immediately we started noticing my son finding dangerous sharp objects hidden in the carpet flooring, mostly staples. I’m vacuuming every day, and thoroughly going through the carpet BY HAND to find them during his nap times and I never find any, but somehow they keep popping up in the carpet. I looked under furniture to see if they were coming from there, I checked to see if the carpet was maybe stapled and they are coming up, but I cannot figure out where they are coming from! I have found so many and took them from my son’s hands so many times that he got into the habit of yelling “Ma! Ma!” And showing me the staples and giving them to me. He’s only 1 and at this age they put everything in their mouth. I’m also finding needles, pins, and nails. I am vacuuming daily and every time I clean out the vacuum, it’s filled with these sharp objects. I’m guessing they were left here by the previous tenants because I have never seen these types of staples, pins, and nails before. I even called the apartment manager and she had someone come by to check it out and he was only able to find some of my son found it first. I’m beyond terrified and pissed! I feel awful because I can’t figure out where these things are coming from and I can’t see them!
