Craving ice ?!

Anyone else craving ice. 27 weeks. It’s so weird I just want small bits to chew on. Never knew you could crave something with no taste 🙈

I crave ice when my iron is low. With my first pregnancy it was so low I needed iron infusions and when they were done I didn’t crave ice anymore. I just started craving it this pregnancy and my iron had dropped.

I’ve been craving ice every since I entered the third trimester & I told my doctor but they didn’t seem too concerned about it.. well I went to my local heath department today & got my iron tested & it was a 9.6 when it’s supposed to be 12 or higher. So it could definitely be a sign of low iron or it could be just a crazy pregnancy craving.

It’s a form of pica- craving non-nutritive things like ice, paper, dirt, bark, etc. Have your doctor check your iron, you could be deficient.

you could very well be anemic! I was and that's what I did anytime there was ice around.

I craved ice all throughout my 2 previous pregnancies and was anemic for both. Low iron will make you crave it!

I was severely craving ice and other weird things (like my pet chinchilla's dust and flour) and it turned out that I was extremely anemic. My levels were an 8.8 when they're supposed to be around a 12. If you're craving anything other than ice, I'd recommend getting a blood test done.
