That is not a big age gap at all.
I once dated someone who was in his 40s, he was super sweet! Took well care of me during my final yr of uni. I was busy studying, finishing my degree.
I also dated someone 4 years younger. He was kind and playful, we had a good time. Now I am settled with a gentleman 8 yrs plus my age. 
Tis true that age is just a number, for what matters is the way you both compromise each other's differences. It requires patience and respect for one another.
