Unplanned C-section
So my birth story wasn’t ideal. I went into the hospital to get induced at 8am. They put the balloon in to dilate me to 5cm. I got to that the balloon fell out. Then I went to 6cm. Ended up getting an epidural at that point as I was contracting on my own. As soon as I got the epidural my contractions stopped so I needed meds to start them up again. I was laboring with that for 5 hours and I was still at 6cm. My epidural also wore off. So they ended up waving the white flag and I got wheeled in for a c-section (it was the last thing I wanted, I cried after the doctors left as this was my first ever pregnancy so I was scared as hell) The c-section was painful with all the pressure. But it went well. My husband got to still cut the cord and he brought her to me so I could see her and that’s when I instantly lost it and started bawling (luckily that didn’t mess up the doctors from closing me up). I got wheeled back in and got to hold her almost instantly I fed her too. I’ve been able to eat saltine crackers so I’m not nauseated like they said I would. I just have some aching incision pain.

So Amanda Faye Hadley was born via c section on May 1st at 10:16pm. She was exactly 7lbs and was 19.5 inches.
