How often do you carry around your LO?

I know we all miss the snuggles and sometimes it’s just easier to carry them to and fro, but my LO is starting to kill my back if I do it to much. I was wondering when is a good time to stop all together or only in the event of safety concerns.

I carry mine more than i like mostly because he’s such a runner, he will just bolt and be gone in the blink of an eye! So if we’re in a store or parking lot I’m normally carrying himx

I had to stop carrying (and now do it as an on need basis) bc of being pregnant. Im physically incapable of hauling around a 25 lb toddler with this big ol belly, pregnancy hip/back pain. I just can’t do it! I force her to walk— which sometimes can be painstakingly slow and time consuming but I’m trying so salvage my spine

My son very rarely gets picked up and carried. He has been like that since he started walking at around 11 months. We didn’t want our child to think he could be constantly picked up when he wanted.

My LO is a huge mamas girl and cry baby. I was having to pick her up all the time all the way till I gave birth to my last baby (she’s 3 weeks now). I had my 4th csection and so when I got home I couldn’t lift her up anymore while she’s crying for everything so I stopped then. She’s now getting used to it and has pretty much stopped expecting me to pick her every time she gets told no, someone hurts her feelings or the sky isn’t blue (yes, she’s that dramatic, lol). I have carried her up the stairs to her bed a few times when she’s fallen asleep, but that’s it.

Sometimes my little guy likes to be held, and sometimes he wants to run. I try to hold him when I can because he is so independent most of the time. However I'm now 34+ weeks pregnant so I don't pick him up nearly as much. He's 25 lbs and most of the time holding him for a bit doesn't bother me at all.

My baby loves to be carried all the time. For my disgrace he refuses to stay in the baby carrier or in any kind of wrap or backpack :(((((((((

Besides up and down the stairs, I stopped carrying mine as soon as she could walk. She still snuggles on the sofa and her rocking chair but I ain't carrying her cute little butt around lol I'd need a daily chiropractor!
