What age did you start cows milk?

Just wondering if any moms here started giving cows milk before the one year mark? If so:
What age?
What did your ped say? 
How did baby react? 
What kind of milk was it?(whole, 2%, etc)

We didn’t. I have allergies and intolerance in our household. And when I did the research I realized cows milk isn’t healthy or necessary for the human gut. It wasn’t very hard to come to terms with. I hate milk and yogurt anyways. There are dairy products I do prefer. We use them in moderation or purchase veg based products. There are many alternatives to cows milk.

We just had her 1 year appointment and got the go ahead to stop formula and give whole milk. I’m using up the rest of the formula first but will start in a few days. Hopefully it goes well.

I started my daughter on goats milk a few weeks before her first birthday and by her birthday she was done with bottles and formula. Goat milk is a great alternative to cows milk!

my son only takes whole milk,  we started him at 1 yrs old.  we tried 1% and 2% didn't agree with his stomach.

Whole milk at age 1. 2% of others don't give quite the same nutritions whole milk offers but you don't HAVE to choose milk as long as LO is getting the recommended nutrition in their diet.

I didn't. My son was still on breastmilk until 15 months when I lost my milk. He drinks almond milk instead.

So my son was on soy formula but did ok with whole milk (started at 11months) in August we found out he’s allergic to milk after having horrible diarrhea and hives from other stuff we got him tested for allergies.

a week after he turned one. we are on our second week of the transition right now. we tried just full blown only whole milk and he didn't react well. it hurt his belly too bad. this is how we're doing it
Week 1- 3/4 formula, 1/4 whole milk
Week 2- 1/2 formula, 1/2 milk
Week 3- 1/4 formula, 3/4 milk
Week 4- only milk
so far it seems to be working for us.

I never did cow milk. (Baby didn’t like it) My LO Is 17 months and just drinks water, she eats yogurt and cheese tho, and still had one bottle of formula at night
