Does he care?

I’ve been with him for 5 months. We moved very fast and I’m really happy with him he’s great. But he has one big flaw idk how to handle. My sister, brother and brother in law were shot and killed by my dad 4 months ago, my dad then shot him self. I’m trying to be okay for my new relationship because I really need him and want this to work. But I DO have my bad days as anyone would. This is how he “cheers me up” I never get anything more than this. He’s even stopped texting me. I don’t even get a simple “I love you” I just feel so alone and i don’t want it to mess this up.
