Any ideas to turn this car seat into a more boyish one??

There's nothing boyish or girlish about it now. Fine as is. I suppose if you really wanted it to look stereotypically 'boyish' you could hot glue toy trucks and paint it camouflage 🤷‍♀️

I completely understand where you are coming from. I have a nice blue carseat from my son and now I'm due in less than 2 weeks wit a girl. I want my carseat to be orange because for some reason that's my color this pregnancy lol while i don't care if my girl wears a blue dress or shirt or whatnot I would like a nice little girly carseat regardless if anyone agrees with my gender stereotype or not. It's my opinion just like it's your opinion and theirs doesn't really matter. the only opinions that matter are the ones that actually answer your question and not try to force their views on you. so Idk if I'm correct but I read somewhere a few months ago if it's a graco carseat they apparently have replacement parts in different colors you can use. I think you just have to go on their website. I haven't looked yet I've been too lazy and busy lol but I plan on checking it out some day soon. good luck !

While I agree that colors shouldn’t be assumed boyish or girlish I understand that many people will assume purple is a girl and it could get really annoying always correcting people if your out and about with the seat like using it with a travel system. 
Obviously the baby using this is too young to care, and at the end of the day it really doesn’t matter, but I can see where you are coming from. 
I’m assuming you already have this seat from a previous child not that it was purchased as a gift or something because then I would just say exchange it. 
If it’s a seat you already owned and it hasn’t expired yet of course you want to use it again. I’m not familiar with this seat, but if it’s like mine both the insert and canopy can be removed. Obviously you want to use them, but maybe you can purchase a replacement insert and canopy from Graco in a different color. Definitely don’t add anything that wasn’t made by Graco and specifically designed for this seat.
