How long were you broken up and how long did you date before breaking up?

Dated for 2 years. Broke up. After a few months we casually would talk as friends. After 5 months I met with him, just to get closure. After 10 months I visited him and we got physical again. Soon after we started officially dating again. We decided to back up a little and not be as serious. Year and a half later we moved in since both our leases were up. Year and a half after that we were engaged then married 2 years later. We have been together 12 and a half years (including the time apart). Had we not broken up, I highly doubt we would be where we are now. I think during our break up we both were able to connect with ourselves again and realize what we wanted in life and with whom. I think also, my husband realized that he wanted to be with me despite my struggle with mental illness, which I know not all people can love and be with someone with such an illness.

Dated for three years took a 3-4 month break and have been happier than ever since we’ve been back together. Granted, we kept a friendship while not technically together but we definitely needed time to figure out what we wanted.

we dated for about five months and broke up late july. there was a time where we actually hated each other. i had made some stupid decisions and he slut shamed me. about a month ago i texted him and told him i missed him and i wanted to see if we could start over. his response was “i’ve been thinking that for months.” we are still in highschool, but i honestly love this boy to death. couldn’t be happier❤️

We dated for 1 year and 4 months in 2013/2014, and we broken up, and now after 4 years we are together again, and we are so happy! In this 4 years of break we never really could be far away from each other, and now we know that we needed time and to grown up :)
