Hi, sorry if this post is out of place, but mysellf and my partner are just about to apply to do emergency foster placements ... and it would be great if I could find others who are / have been through the same process.

i'm in the same position as you now, I havent fostered yet but am very seriously considering it. I actually am working on fixing our spare bedroom up and making it really homey, I didnt start fixing the room up specifically for foster care but fostering is something I've always known I wanted to do so I think this nesting thing i'm doing is my subconscious telling me that its time and we are ready.

I have a lot of friends who are foster parents. And I want to foster as well but am waiting for now.
I think it’s a beautiful thing and I just want to encourage you that by taking in a child and loving them where they are at is the most amazing gift you can give someone.

We get our first foster child tomorrow. We also found out 2 weeks ago that I am pregnant. Everything is falling into place. I'm so excited, yet feel total unprepared for this little 4 year old arriving tomorrow.
