Birth story - 38+2 ❤️❤️

I went into hospital to be induced in the 16th of April, due to baby’s large size.
I went in around 3pm and they first of all got me into the birthing suite to do an examination and insert a balloon catheter. I had contractions all night, 2 minutes apart, I got 0 sleep! Got up around 6am and they examined me and I had dilated .5cm 😩 she tried to break my water but it didn’t work.
So they tried the gel instead, anotherfull day of contractions, crying in pain, was terrible , 14 hours later and another dose of gel in the middle of the day and still nothing. So they said are you happy to have a c - section. at this point I was because I didn’t want to go through another few days of painful contractions ! I slept the night roughly, woke at 6am on the 18th and a different doctor examine me at 9am and inserted the thing that breaks your water and BAM. Waters broke, at 2cm dilated. I was so happy that I didn’t need a c section. Contractions started instantly, and at every 2.5 minutes. After 2 and a half hours I asked for the epidural. Which kicked in around 12:45.
I felt so much calmer. Contractions continued to intensify they told me. The same doctor checked me at 4pm and I was 9cm dilated !! She checked again at 6pm and I was ready to go !! She told me and the midwife to hold of pushing for an hour so my baby could keep making his way down. It hit 7pm and I started pushing at 7:11, and my beautiful baby boy was born at 8:01pm !! I even helped pull him out when the midwife said goooo!!
My experience was so amazing in the end,❤️
Weighing 4.301 kilo, 54cm in height, and a 38cm head circumference . He was perfect.
I had a severe 2nd degree tear but got stitched up while cuddling my baby boy ❤️❤️
