My husband and I suffered a miscarriage at 12 wks last July. We had been TTC for 8 months with no luck when an opportunity arose to adopt a newborn that was close to us and we jumped. We have had him with us since he was 3 days old and he has been a huge blessing to us and our family!

Exactly a week after we brought him home with us, I took a pregnancy test just out of routine expecting it to be negative like usual...

Imagine my face when I saw the positive start showing through! We couldn’t believe it!

Only my mother knows so far, but we plan on telling our other family members and friends after the 12 wk mark. Everything has gone well so far in this pregnancy, but I am still nervous!!

We are due November 24th. They will be 8 months apart! We’re definitely going to have our hands full, but couldn’t be more excited to see our little family grow!

UPDATE: I went to my first sono yesterday. The baby is measuring a little earlier than we first expected, so new due date is November 30th, making me 10wks and 5 days! I got to hear the heartbeat (167 bpm) which was music to my ears!!

Last year when I miscarried, I didn’t know until my appointment when they couldn’t find the heartbeat. I feel so relieved knowing the baby is healthy so far! 😁

UPDATE 2: We found out we’re having a little girl!! We finally told the rest of our friends and family a week after finding out the gender. We can’t wait for her to be here! Feeling her move around more and more each day. She seems to get really active when she hears her brother making noise near me 😂.

Little man is almost 5 months old now and has so much personality! He smiles all the time 😁. So thankful to have this cutie in our lives and blessed to have a healthy girl on the way!
