Our family (on my husband’s side) welcomed a new baby in March. She was born at 41 weeks, but was still very small at 6lb 12 oz. Both parents are pretty small people.. they’re probably both 5’4” or under so I didn’t think the baby’s size was out of the ordinary. Well, my husband is way taller than his older brother at 6’1” and at our 20 week scan, we were told the baby was measuring tall (84th percentile.) I mentioned this to his family and ever since then, they have been teasing how big our baby girl is going to be and how big my belly is. I know it’s not that big of a deal, but it’s getting SO old. My mother in law even said to me the other day that my and my husband’s baby would probably be the same size as our new niece who will be 4 months old when our baby is born! She was dead serious too!! 🙄🙄 I sent out pictures to all the girls in my family of my 28 week belly last night and of course my MIL responds with “wow, can’t believe how big your belly is!!!” Basically just wondering if my husband’s family is crazy, just being mean or if they’re right and I’ll deliver a 14 lb baby in July. (🙄)
