Which would you rather do?

My baby is measuring 2 weeks ahead. I’m 38.5 weeks now. My doctor gave me the option of inducing at 39 weeks but idk if I’d rather go through the whole ordeal on my own & have that experience or be induced like I was with my first. I was induced with my son at 40+5 and it was very smooth... no complaints at all.

If you have good progress at the start of induction then you can give it a shot. If you're not very dilated, effaced or dropped you run higher risk of ending up in a c section.

The measuring ahead from belly and the weight estimate are just estimates. I was induced at 37 weeks due to blood pressure. I was 2 cm and 100% effaced and it was still a painful delivery. Pitocin will make your contractions like 100 times stronger. I hope to go into labor naturally with my second.

in what way is the baby measuring ahead. ? like weight or just your belly. ?

I measured 3 weeks ahead from 28w on. They kept saying he would come early and be almost 10lbs etc.
He came out one day before he was due at 8lbs 5oz. 
The further along you are the less accurate those scans are and can be off a pound or two in either direction. 
I would wait to go into labor naturally.

I was induced with my first and my second came naturally. The natural was so excited honestly. The whole experience of going to the hospital and husband freaking out because he thought baby will be born on the highway was the best. I will do natural again if I have the option to.
