At what point is baby in the position it’ll be in for birth? When does the likelihood go down for baby to change positions on its own?

I’m a labor and delivery nurse and had a patient last week and their baby was head down when she came in, and breech a couple hours later lol. They can flip anytime!

I was told not to worry about it until week 37 as they can change position easily until then. Hope that helps.

my daughter was flipping till about 38 weeks she was feet down at 37 weeks then head down at 38 so it kinda just depends on the baby
