Safe Sleeping?

So my daughter is 4 months. She rolls tummy to back and back to tummy. When she sleeps we start her on her back. She generally rolls at night onto her tummy. My husband and I often roll her back because she sleeps face down and we worry about SIDS. I wouldn’t worry if she was on her tummy with her head to either side but that isn’t the way she sleeps. Should I continue rolling her or am I just crazy?

I’ve never rolled my daughter over. She’s been sleeping on her belly since she was 4 months old and sleeps face down a vast majority of the time. They’re just fine if they’re putting themselves in that position. We also have a crib mattress pad by Newton Baby that is breathable so it allows them to breathe very easily when face down. It’s a new product of theirs and it’s fantastic! It might be something to look into if you’re concerned!

My doctor said that if able to lift her head and move it side to side it’s okay. But it’s always best to role them over.

If baby can roll themselves, they are fine to sleep how they please.

My daughter did this same exact thing. I was also very worried. Her doctor said if she can roll into that position it will be OK as long as she is placed on her back first. I kept moving her on her back but she just kept rolling with her face down it was scary but she was OK.

You’re definitely not crazy... if she doesn’t get woken up from you rolling her back to her back then I don’t see the issue 🤷🏻‍♀️ you’d hate to quit doing it and then have something happen. I’m sure it’ll be short lived though, she will learn to turn her head 😊
